History

Company created with this appellation (Gestion Nouvelle des Chantiers et Ateliers du Congo) on 1987, actually it is more than 50 years old today.

We can summarize the main phases of GNCAC as follows:

1950
Creation of the "Ateliers et Chantiers de Pointe-Noire".
(Subsidiary of the Chantiers de la Loire à Saint-Nazaire).

1966
Trade-in by the Ets MARTY, already settled in Douala.

1982
Merger with MECANIC-CONGO, and grouping with the appellation CHANTIERS ET ATELIERS DU CONGO (CAC).

1987
Rent-management, then re-purchase by GNCAC

2001
Creation of SIAC, a Studies Department.

2002
Creation of a QHSE department, and launch of a procedure of stake in the standards ISO 9001 version 2000.
